Still Water - Neo Noir Short Film

This project was my thesis film for my A.S. in Digital Media degree, requiring us to incorporate all aspects of the Noir genre, both in writing and visual style. Originally, I planned to shoot the entire project in Infrared, but the specialized camera didn't arrive in time for production. Instead, I used a red25 filter combined with intense color grading to achieve a unique and rich black and white look. On a technical level, this was the most complicated project I have done so far. The location left us with very few lighting options, so we had to work around that by filming at sunrise over several days across the week, using a 5-in-1 reflector to help shape and control the light.
