Hello! My Name is David Sims (The guy in the white shirt)

With over 5 years of experience in video production and over short films, I have developed a strong foundation across lighting, audio, editing, and camera work. That experience has been recognized at multiple film festivals, such as the UF Orange and Blue Festival, and the Gainesville 48 Hour Film Festival.

I started MediaMango when I realized the skills I built through film competitions and short films had real competitive value. Knowing how to get the best results within a limited time frame, and within a limited budget is exactly what a client needs, whether that’s a corporate campaign or as a videographer on a production team. Through Media Mango, I work directly with clients to bring the same level of craft and intention I put into my own work.

      I operate camera for commercial, corporate, and digital media productions as a single operator or as a part of a larger crew.
      Experienced with a range of camera systems, lenses, and lighting systems across a variety of shooting environments

  • I cut long form and short form content including corporate videos, social content, brand films, and event coverage from raw footage through a finished deliverable. I am experienced with complex color grading and effects. I specialize in editing content that feels well paced and is easy for the viewer to understand.

  • I design and animated graphics including titles, lower thirds, branded assets, and full motion sequences within After Effects. This includes lower thirds, bumpers, and full animated videos.

  • I handle compositing, shot cleanup, screen replacements, keying, and rotoscoping. I have experience with 3d animation and can create realistic rendered content.
